Yom HaShoah, the day of remembrance for those who died in the Holocaust, will be observed this month.  In the North Peninsula, Gloria Hollander Lyon, a survivor of Auschwitz, will present Pivotal Moments: the Daily Struggle for Survival on Monday, April 16, at 7 p.m., at Temple Beth Jacob, 1550 Alameda de las Pulgas, Redwood City.  The program will be preceded by a reading of names at 6:30 p.m.

Remembering for the Future, the South Peninsula commemoration, will take at Congregation Beth Am, 26790 Arastradero Rd., Los Altos Hills, on Sunday, April 15, at 5 p.m.  The observance will feature intergenerational songs, prayer, music, readings, artwork and a special message from Israeli Consul General David Akov.

A new seven-session Discussion Series for Interfaith/Intercultural Couples, with Helena McMahon, LMFT, or John Steinfirst, LCSW, will be starting soon on the Peninsula.  The group will reflect on family, child-rearing issues, holiday celebrations and spiritual concerns. The cost of each series is based on a sliding scale.
