Please join us at The Contemporary Jewish Museum, 121 Steuart Street, San Francisco, on Thursday, April 19 for a reception and private viewing of The Jewish Identity Project: New American Photography. The exhibit features newly commissioned photography, video, and multimedia projects by 13 emerging and mid-career artists. The exhibition looks at real and constructed boundaries between people, challenging viewers to rethink previous assumptions and consider the shifting definitions of identity, community, and home. We will have opportunities for reflection, discussion and connection at the reception, during the tour and at dinner. A wine and cheese reception begins promptly at 7:00 p.m.; the private tour of the exhibit will follow. After the tour we will walk to Osha Thai, Embarcadero 4, for a no-host dinner. Museum admission is $7/person. To RSVP and register please call 415-292-1200 by Tuesday, April 17.
A new seven-session Discussion Series for Interfaith/Intercultural Couples, with Helena McMahon, LMFT, or John Steinfirst, LCSW, will be starting soon in San Francisco. We will reflect on family, child-rearing issues, holiday celebrations and spiritual concerns. The cost of each series is based on a sliding scale. Classes will be held on Mondays.
For dates and fee, please call Interfaith Connection at 415-292-1252.
