The above five workshops will take place in just five hours at A Jewish Wedding Fair on Sunday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lucie Stern Community Center in Palo Alto. And there is a lot more happening that day as well. For example, a wedding band showcase will feature live music by Kugelplex, Stu Cornick & Savoir Faire, and The Red Hot Chachkas. Visitors can taste-test food from a variety of caterers, check out flower displays from florists who are used to dealing with chuppahs and other Jewish wedding features, plus enjoy informal modeling of the latest fashions in wedding attire. And it’s free!

“If I were planning a Jewish wedding, I’d definitely show up at this event,” says Stephanie Brown, director of Special Events at the Albert L. Schultz JCC, presenter of the day. “There will be 35 vendors, all hand-picked and highly recommended.”

According to Brown, interfaith and LGBT couples are being especially welcomed this year. This is the second annual wedding fair and, notes Brown, this is bigger than the inaugural one, held last year in the North Peninsula.

Co-sponsors of the day include the Union for Reform Judaism, Project Welcome and The United Synagogues of Conservative Judaism.
