Welcome to 2007! Interfaith Connection has a variety of wonderful programs coming up in January and February. I hope to see you at one or all of them!
On January 17, we begin our new daytime Discussion Group for Parents Raising Jewish Children. Join other parents in a supportive environment to talk about holiday observance and ritual, the development of religious and cultural identity, spirituality and community. The group will meet twice a month on a schedule that coincides with the ECE school year. Pre-registration is required for this program. Please call for prices and dates.
On Tuesday, January 23 at 7:00 p.m. we are thrilled to be going to Brandeis Hillel Day School (BHDS) for a special presentation and discussion about what it is like to be an interfaith/intercultural family in a Jewish day school. We will hear from Chaim Heller, Head of School, and from a panel of interfaith parents whose children currently attend BHDS. This free forum is for current Brandeis families and anyone interested in the possibility of a Jewish day school education for their children.
Grandparents play a significant role in the lives of their grandchildren, offering love, support, wisdom and guidance. On February 6, we will welcome Rosanne Levitt, LCSW and founder of Interfaith Connection to facilitate a free program for grandparents of interfaith grandchildren focused on the dynamics of intergenerational relationships in interfaith families.
To RSVP and register for any of these events, please call 415.292.1200. For more information on Interfaith Connection programs, please contact me at 415.292.1252 or hmcmahon@jccsf.org.
