November has been nationally designated as Jewish Book Month and there will be many events around the Bay Area celebrating reading, authors and learning. On the Peninsula, the 4th Annual Celebration of Jewish Authors will take place on Sunday, Nov. 11 at the Peninsula JCC, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The day-long event, which is co-sponsored by Kepler Books, will feature a book fair, special sessions for children, and fiction and non-fiction author sessions.
Non-fiction authors and their books include Lynn Freed, Reading, Writing and Leaving Home; Victoria Zackheim and Lynn Fried, The Other Woman; Frances Lefkowitz, Coming of Age; and Joshua Braff, How to Spell Chanukah.
Fiction authors and their books are Lisa Pearl Rosenbaum, A Day of Small Beginnings; and Robert K. Tanenbaum, Malice.
For children, Amy Friedman will read from Tell Me a Story, her book of folktales from around world in three afternoon sessions.
