Interfaith Connection is gearing up for its Interfaith Couples’ Trip to Israel scheduled for May 22 – 31, 2008. Participants will experience the land – the spiritual center of the three Abrahamic faiths – from a truly interfaith/intercultural perspective.
Among many activities, participants will spend Shabbat in Jerusalem at the remaining wall of the Second Temple, visit the Galilean hills where Jesus gave his Sermon on the Mount, climb Masada and float on the Dead Sea. The tour includes expert educators and facilitated discussion about how religion and culture impact relationships.
Space is limited, so please contact Helena McMahon, Interfaith Connection manager, at the number below to reserve a space.
Finding Miracles In Our Own Lives, a workshop for couples and families with Rabbi Eve Ben Ora and Helena McMahon of Or Shalom Jewish Community, is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 2, 1 – 3 p.m. Through guided discussion and hands-on activity, participants will explore the meaning of the holidays, experience the rituals of Hanukkah, and create a ritual that reflects and illuminates the miracles that already exist in their lives. Admission is $10/couple or family.
