Peninsula Peninsula Temple Beth El, a Reform congregation in San Mateo, is the recipient of a major grant from the Jewish Community Federation to provide programming for interfaith families and couples in partnership with the Peninsula JCC and Jewish Family and Children’s Services. This is an unprecedented opportunity to integrate Jewish values and traditions into the interfaith/intercultural family. The community partners will first conduct a focus group to determine what programming will best suit the needs of the area’s interfaith families and couples. They expect to launch the project later this year, probably in time for the December holidays. Among the anticipated events are holiday-related workshops and counseling-oriented groups.
